A lifetime VPN subscription sounds like the perfect deal — sadly, most of them are scams. If a VPN provider just sells lifetime subscriptions, that’s not a sustainable business model. Sooner or later, it’ll go bankrupt.

Jokes aside, this is a pretty good deal if you’re certain that Windscribe is the right pick for you — after all, it’s great for streaming and torrenting, it has pretty fast speeds, and it’s also really secure and user-friendly + it allows unlimited connections. And this is actually a legit VPN whose main business model doesn’t operate on lifetime deals, so it can afford to provide this plan + the price is thought out so that people can’t abuse the provider’s service.

Not that I know of. Sure, if you google “lifetime VPNs,” you’ll find tons of links — but you should really avoid them since most of them are very likely just scams. Like you might end up paying for a VPN that doesn’t even exist or you might end up getting a lifetime account from a shitty VPN that will eventually be converted into a yearly subscription.
Are Most Lifetime VPN Deals Really Scams?
When in doubt, always think back to this classic phrase — if it’s too good to be true, it probably is. A commercial VPN is a business like any other, so how could it survive if it were to only sell dozens of lifetime accounts for very cheap prices (like $20–$50)? It takes a lot of money to run a VPN service, so a lifetime-only business model is not sustainable.
If you just get any random lifetime deal you come across, this might happen:
- You’ll lose your money — You might buy a plan from a VPN that doesn’t even exist. You pay for the plan and don’t get anything in return.
- You’ll get a shitty service — Maybe the VPN exists, but it won’t provide quality. You’ll have to deal with annoyingly slow speeds, buggy apps that crash often, servers that are not online 100% of the time, poor streaming and P2P support, weak security and privacy, and nonexistent customer support.
- The VPN will close up shop — The provider might just disappear overnight and cease all operations a few months after enough people have bought into its scam.
- The VPN will change the terms of the deal — The provider could just suddenly decide that they won’t honor your lifetime subscription anymore and just switch you to a long-term plan instead. They could also just claim that “lifetime” doesn’t refer to someone’s lifespan, but a pet’s lifetime (yes, this actually happened lol).
